| 520 | _aNowadays, all human experience stress. Regardless of type of stress, either mental stress, emotional stress or physical stress, it definitely affects human lifestyle and work performance. The stressful condition may lead to depression, which now becomes one of the major health diseases. Hence, it is a compulsory to understand stress, level of stress and how to overcome it. This book shares human stress identification and measurement using human biological signals such as human brainwaves. Human brainwaves are analysed and extracted to provide unique features that represent human stress in terms of human brainwaves. The analysis of human brainwaves from healthy or normal human shows that human stress can be classified into 3-level index, namely Index 1, Index 2 and Index 3, which represent the stress levels of low stress, moderate stress and high stress at classification accuracy of 89%. Human brainwaves can be employed to detect the existence of human stress effectively. Human stress index based on the analysis of brainwaves signal can be employed either by human themselves, to know their stress level, or in health sector to assist physicians or medical practitioners to determine the stress level of their patients, in educational sector to monitor stress level during lectures or examinations and also in engineering or research sector to represent or visualise stress index in term of 2-D or 3-D images. | ||
